--> The CALAIS JUNGLE  is the nickname given to a series of camps in the vicinity of Calais, France, where refugees live while they attempt to enter the United Kingdom.This desolate wasteland, in the shadow of the motorway and a chemical factory on the outer edge of Calais, is France’s first official, state-sanctioned slum.For most of us the inhabitants of this area are largely abstract: their names,occupation,traditions and beliefs.We only see their anonymous faces appearing in morning papers. Everything what they are leaving behind is even less important but undoubtedly it is  a  temporary mark or sign to  their final destination. I’ve decided to put my DSLR down and take all pictures with iPhone 5S.The reason was simple. All refugees communicate with their families  and friends only via mobile phones and this device playing a crucial role in survival gambling. My aim was to see the world trough this same window. I was capturing only abandoned and unwanted items left by refugees and buried in the French soil like the bones of another chapter in modern history of Europe.
